The book of Eli 26 april 2010

sigh... looks like its going to be make or break this year. Every single part of my life looks that way.  I just watched the book of eli. Incredible story, and very real at the same time. Its really an insight into whats to become of this earth that we live in. Or i guess might become. Seriously makes you think about your own walk with God, and how important it is.

Well for me, i believe that the world is ending soon. And that im in the end time generation or will bring in the end time generation. I believe that there will be wars. And the possibility of people destroying every single bible on the planet in the future is very possible.

On one hand, i believe that Christians will be persecuted and hunted down in the future. But at the same time, im reading stuff which sounds very true as well, of how at during this end time, Christians will be blessed. I asked myself how will Christians be blessed during this end time, where every single Christian will be shunned by the rest of the world, hunted down and forced to denounce their faith. Im the kind of person that likes to think about the future. So just imagine how can one, knowing that the world will be an even more messed up place in the future, still bring a child into this earth, knowing that he or she is going to go through way more shit than you did when you were young. Yeah so i guess the book of eli answered that question for me.

Psalms Chapter 23 reads

A psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

sigh.... when i heard that, i was like wow. and felt completely at ease.

Then i thought to myself, if one day all the bibles in the world were gone, how important would be then for us christians to memorise key verses. I love these kind of shows that makes you think. And yeah i totally agree with caleb, about how this show, shows christianity in such a meaningful and purposeful way. I love the last part where eli said what paul said a long time ago.

2nd timothy chapter 4 verse 7:

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

His whole life or rather his Christian life, Eli kept the faith, you could seriously tell that during the whole movie, he was a man after God heart. And he was human. If eli was this cool, what more people like David who was called a man after God's own heart, or Paul or Abraham , what more Jesus himself, its just so amazing.  One day i hope to say that.

Ok gtg yfc is calling me.
